Hocoos is gone, and its own homepage is why we missed it
The editor is offline, stored sites were deleted in April 2026, and the pricing page and app subdomain both say so. The marketing homepage kept selling it anyway, which is how it survived our last check.

As of 21 August 2026, Hocoos is off the board. The product is discontinued, the editor at magic.hocoos.com now reads HOCOOS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE, and stored customer sites were deleted back in April 2026. This is not a temporary outage. There is no editor left to open and nothing left stored in it.
The more useful part of this report is why Hocoos was still sitting on the board as of our 3 August check, three months after sites were already being deleted. hocoos.com/pricing carries the same shutdown language, HOCOOS IS NO LONGER OPERATING, in plain text. The root domain, hocoos.com itself, did not. It stayed up as a live marketing page, describing the product in the present tense, as if you could still sign up and build a site today. Our source check on 3 August looked at the front door and the front door was still selling.
That is the failure mode we are naming plainly: checking a root domain is not a liveness check. A marketing homepage is the part of a site a vendor is slowest to take down, sometimes because nobody remembers it is still live, sometimes because it still pulls in search traffic worth keeping. Either way, it is the least reliable page on a dying product's domain, and it is exactly the page a quick check tends to load first.
We now check the pricing page and the application itself, not just whatever loads at the bare domain, specifically because this is where that shortcut failed us. Hocoos's votes, opinions and its one head to head duel against Durable leave the board along with the row. The Durable versus Hocoos report stays published as a dated record of that vote, with a note pointing here.
